Having been formed as a boy group, SB19 aims to bring new flavour into the Filipino pop music industry. On October 26, 2018, the group stepped on stage with music close to Filipinos' hearts – the heart-wrenching ballad song entitled "Tilaluha." One would expect them to debut with a dance-oriented rhythm, but SB19 showed the public that they offer more than what they are expected to give. They came back on July 19, 2019 finally showing their full potential with their rap and dance-pop song, "Go Up" which tells the story of SB19. It showcased not just their vocals, but also their excellent dance and rap skills, making it their breakthrough single. Following its success is SB19's love song with a twist! The boys released their 3rd single on December 25, 2019 entitled, "Alab", which topped the local music charts the longest in 2020. Unlike most love songs, Alab is a bit more aggressive but remains charming. It portrays love and how we express it in 5 different colors with a groovy and upbeat melody. After almost 4 months, they then released a self-composed and self-produced tribute song on April 12, 2020 entitled, "ikako", written to provide a ray of hope with its cheery and optimistic tempo to the people, most especially to the frontliners braving the unseen enemy.
